Eric Boehmer, MD, PhD
Dr. Boehmer majored in Biology at Lawrence University in Appleton, WI. From there he was accepted and completed the MD/PhD (elite dual degree) program at Loyola University—Stritch School of Medicine outside of Chicago, IL. He completed his Family Medicine residency with an added emphasis in International Medicine at Marshall University in Huntington, WV. Since then he has practiced both inpatient and outpatient Family Medicine in Wisconsin and Oregon.
Dr. Boehmer has completed additional education and training, becoming board certified in Integrative and Holistic Medicine through the American Board of Integrative and Holistic Medicine. He is a certified practitioner in the Reversal of Cognitive Decline (ReCODE) program through Apollo Health. ReCODE is a Functional Medicine approach to reversing and preventing various dementias. He is nearly finished with his Functional Medicine certification through the Institute for Functional Medicine.
Dr. Boehmer specializes in nutritional and supplemental support with a Functional Medicine approach. Although he currently plans to continue a more traditional American approach to medicine for his patients who desire that, he will be transitioning to more dedicated time for patients desiring a Functional Medicine approach. This transition will begin November 2021 as he aligns with Froedtert.
